It can be overwhelming to walk down any hair care aisle at a store to see how many products are available for your various hair needs. Where do you even start?

An added challenge is when you want to simplify your products and just have the basic necessities, but you have a cabinet or drawer full of products that don't quite give your hair the love it needs. Well, I have your back, Friend!

Below I've put together the basic hair products that you may need for healthy hair:

Shampoo and conditioner: Look for gentle, sulfate-free options that suit your hair type. Keep in mind, you might not need to wash your hair every day, as it can strip away natural oils from your hair. Instead, you can try washing your hair 2 to 3 times per week or as directed by a professional.

Natural oils: Consider incorporating a few drops of natural oils like argan, coconut, or jojoba into your routine for added hydration and shine. Just a little goes a long way! Try using just a few drops daily and concentrate more at the middle to ends of your hair to provide more moisture, shine, and manageability.

Wide-tooth comb: Use a wide-tooth comb instead of a brush to gently detangle your hair. It's less likely to cause breakage and is perfect for maintaining that minimalist vibe.

Minimal heat styling: Embrace your natural hair texture whenever possible to minimize heat damage. But if you must use heat, remember to apply a heat protectant spray beforehand.

Regular trims: Keep your hair looking healthy by getting regular trims to prevent and manage split ends. This will also help maintain a clean and healthy looking hairstyle.
